Karen has been a social worker for almost 40 years. The first half she spent in community-based programs supervising shelter care for children who had been abused, working with those experiencing homelessness and addressing systemic issues related to poverty. At ODHS she has been focused on leadership development, program analysis and more recently trauma awareness. With over 20 years with the state, she has profound respect for her colleagues, our partners, and the families, individuals and communities we serve. She continues to be inspired by their efforts and stories.
