Venue: Salem Convention Center

The Salem Convention Center is conveniently located in the heart of Salem’s downtown. Adjoining The Grand Hotel in Salem and Bentley’s, the Convention Center offers more than 30,000 square feet of event space between the first and second floor. For your convenience, all sessions, activities and meals will be held on site.

TRAVELING NORTH ON I-5
Take Exit 253 for OR-22. Turn left at light onto Highway 22. Continue on to Mission Street. Turn right on to Liberty Street. Move into the far left lane. Enter the Parking Garage on the left Immediately after Trade Street at the Grand Hotel in Salem.

Restrooms

Restrooms on both floors of the conference venue will be All Gender. There will be signs noting which restrooms have stalls and urinals, and which only have stalls. There will be gender-specific restrooms available in the hotel lobby on the first floor by the main entrance of the conference venue.

No one is forced to share their pronouns, but all ODHS representatives are expected to use the correct name and pronouns for individuals who do voluntarily share them. Parking

Please consider carpooling with others, as parking spaces may be limited due to other events taking place in town. The Grand Hotel parking is for hotel guests and priority parking for people with disabilities and/ or mobility support needs, please consider parking at other lots if you can.

There are 5 main free parking lots that are within walking distance to The Salem Convention Center. Please note that these are public parking garages, so please make sure not to leave valuables in your car to prevent theft. There will be a ADA compliant shuttle that will be making loops every 30 minutes from the Pringle Parking lot, Chemeketa Parkade and Marion Parkade to the Salem Convention Center. There is no Convention Parking at the Liberty Square Parkade.

    Please be advised that the 4th floor is reserved for permit holders only. You may park in all other spots that don’t have signs

    Complimentary parking 10 - 15 minute walk from the venue

Shuttle Service for people with disabilities and mobility support needs

There will be an ADA compliant shuttle for people with disabilities and mobility support needs. These shuttles have limited space, so please give priority for people with disabilities and mobility support needs.

The shuttle will be making loops every 30 minutes from:

  1. 555 Commercial St back lot (Shuttle stop in the lot)
  2. Pringle Parking lot (Shuttle stop on High Street)
  3. Chemeketa Parkade (Shuttle stop in the alleyway)
  4. Marion Parkade (Shuttle stop on Union Street)

to the Salem Convention Center.

Other options for parking

There are various free and metered street parking spots around downtown Salem. This link also shows ADA street parking locations in the Salem Downtown area. If you have a wheelchair user permit from Oregon or another state, you may park for free at any meter or time restricted area that is marked for 30 minutes or longer (Standard or temporary disabled parking placards don’t apply, please see the City of Salem website for more details) Please make sure you check the time limitations at each spot. Meters usually run $1.50/ hour. The City of Salem is very strict on parking, please park at your own discretion.

There are the State Yellow and Red Parking Lots located at 869 Marion St NE, Salem OR 97301 and 1128 Marion St NE #1000, Salem OR 97301 respectively. These are metered parking spots at $1.50/ hour. They take Visa/ MasterCard debit and credit cards. It's around a 15-25 minute walk to the venue.
