Assistive Technology and why it's important in my daily life

Come dive into the world of assistive technology (AT) and hear first-hand from advocates and community partners about the impact of AT and the uniqueness of how these supports are used in people's lives. Our diverse group of panelists will share stories of how AT has been used in advancing their lives and sense of belonging in their local communities. Stories will range from using AT to create a DJ business, one woman's life in beauty pageants while using a communication device and a wheelchair, and how technology can open the doors to being an advocate for yourself and others. Along with sharing these stories, our panel of Oregon's Tech First experts will also answer questions about the different types of technology that's out there, why it's important and the difference it can make in people's lives.
