Empowering Independence: A Person-Centered Approach to Assistive Technology

In this 75-minute session, we will delve into the empowering world of assistive technology (AT) with a person-centered focus, providing an overview and building excitement for tech’s potential in enhancing personal independence. We aim to spark a conversation about AT’s role in individual support plans (ISPs) and how it can fill gaps to help achieve personal goals and interests. Video summary of AT worker guide, visual PowerPoint, success stories, presented by The Oregon Tech First Group (made up of statewide stakeholders from CME's, ODDS, Providers, and Advocates). We can also fit into a 60 min session with an additional Microsession for viewing AT Worker Guide video. Will be submitting an additional session; Panel (75 mins) for Tech Success Stories (Q & A). Goal: answering questions, hearing from self-advocates first hand, share their stories. Mix of folks to answer questions; OSAC, CME and Providers.
