Travel & Visitor Information

Weather in June

June in Auburn brings plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures, and southern hospitality. Daytime highs typically reach the upper 80s to low 90s °F (around 31–34 °C), with evenings cooling to the upper 60s and low 70s °F (around 20–22 °C). Humidity is common but manageable, and most indoor venues are comfortably air-conditioned. We recommend light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and staying hydrated while outdoors. Shaded paths and tree-lined streets make Auburn’s campus an enjoyable place to explore in any season.

Nearest Airports

Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

For most attendees, we recommend flying into Atlanta, the region’s primary international hub. Auburn University is approximately a 1 hour 45 minute drive (110 miles) southwest of ATL.

Ground transportation options include:

  • Groome Transportation Shuttle: Provides regular, direct service between ATL and Auburn. (Advance reservations strongly recommended.)
  • Rental Cars: Available at ATL with all major providers.
  • Rideshare Services: Uber and Lyft operate between ATL and Auburn, though fares can be high for longer trips.

Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM)

Located about 2 hours northwest (125 miles) of Auburn. A good option for travelers connecting through southern hubs. Rental cars and rideshares are available.

Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM)

A smaller airport located about 1 hour southwest (60 miles) of Auburn. Ideal for regional flights. Limited rental car and rideshare options are available.
