The session will introduce a universal screening toolkit created in collaboration with Oregon Health Authority to assist schools with the process of screening for suicidality in student populations. The presentation will discuss considerations for conducting universal screening with I/DD student populations.

A therapist, consultant with Oregon Healing Collective, and a researcher at Oregon Healing Institute. Taking a systemic and holistic approach to research, suicide prevention, and mental health practice. Maryanne has been in the mental health field for over a decade. After gaining a Master’s degree in Couples & Family Therapy from the University of Oregon with a Spanish Specialization and research focus - Maryanne sought advanced training in suicide assessment, intervention, and safety planning. She has received training for each of the Big River programs and is part of the Oregon Alliance to Prevent Suicide and Suicide Rapid Response team.
