More Than the Minimum: How do we move from avoidance to action in emergency planning?

It is well proven that the best outcomes in disasters happen when we have a plan, know the plan, and share that plan with our personal network. We have seen firsthand that individuals with access and functional needs are at the highest risk of negative outcomes during a disaster. Knowing these hard truths, why aren't we giving the necessary time and attention to emergency preparedness engagement the people we serve? Join ODDS for a casual, interactive campfire discussion about the challenges of emergency planning in the IDD population. We want to hear from YOU, the IDD service community, about what you need to go beyond box checking preparedness activities.
