Math Outside of the Box; Experiencing Mathematical Creativity
,
Holiday Inn Portland, Clackamas Room, Lower level
Mathematicians are not limited to being "calculators". Appreciating the beauty of maths means keeping on the lookout for novel and interesting ideas that others have used successively in order to adapt our own ideas in original ways to solve problems. In this workshop we will be using story telling, as well as, art, music and math to make connections. Come experience a shift in your world view of what it means to do math.
