Digital Policy Deep Dive: Using the Mobility Data Specification to Drive Civic Innovation


Initially developed in 2018, the Mobility Data Specification (MDS) was designed as a “two-way street” – a common digital language that allows public agencies to share and validate policy digitally, communicating with mobility providers that operate on public streets and sidewalks. Now a mature data standard used by more than 200 cities globally, hear success stories from public agencies that have been using MDS to communicate their mobility policies and create safer and more accessible public spaces. Plus, discuss future potential policy use cases around urban aviation, autonomy, and other emerging technologies.
