Feminist Placemaking: Co-creating Places that work for women

This three-hour session aims to explore the concept of feminist placemaking and its potential in creating inclusive and empowering urban spaces for women. The session will delve into the importance of gender-disaggregated data collection and research in understanding the specific challenges and needs of women in different communities. This session is based on selecting a location in Amsterdam and applying a participatory approach. Participants will co-create solutions on how to incorporate women's perspectives, voices, and experiences into the design and use of public spaces, promoting safety, access to resources, social interaction, and community cohesion.
