Dare, Able Invite: Taking the Human Perspective in Mobilityplanning

In this workshop we will explore essential factors in human behavior. We will extent theories that have proven to be successfull in Dutch train-stations to urban mobility planning. What is crucial for people to change their behavior? How can we influence time-awareness effectively? Three levels are introduces dare, able and and invite" relating to the kind of offer we are bringing to the client. These levels are introced and applied to sustainable modes of transport: public transport, cycling, walking and multimodal travelling.

I was responsible for Mobility plans in cities as Rotterdam, Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, Maastricht and Tilburg. iris van Hagen, Leading professional Sustainable Urban Mobility, Goudappel What mobility choices do people make and how do they experience them? As a policy and behavioral research consultant, I always look at mobility from the perspective of the user. With my creative background at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, my strength lies in lateral thinking. I also know how to make complex information accessible and understandable in a visual way with strong graphics and design. I often come up with 'out of the box' solutions and with great energy and enthusiasm I put my creative qualities to work for a better travel experience and a more attractive living environment. |
Dr.Mark van Hagen, Researcher, Dutch Railways (NS) Mark van Hagen (1961) has been working for NS (the principal Railway Operator in the Netherlands) since 1990, at the moment as a researcher on customer experience. In this role he is responsible for (innovative) studies on customer demands, chain management, station and train experiences and the development of CX measurement systems. Working as a thought leader analyzing customer data and advising the management of NS is also his responsibility. |
