Balancing Spatial Choices

Location: Room - Emerald I

Spatial decision making is getting more and more complex. Emerging technologies like new mobility, e-commerce, MaaS and AVS all claim part of the (urban) space, as are societal trends and developments like climate change or housing. How do we use, preserve and adapt the space around us given all social, environmental and economic needs and requirements like health, biodiversity, inclusiveness, climate change, competitiveness, safety, mobility, housing, autonomy, social cohesion and inclusion? It is clear that we cannot use this space endlessly. We must become smarter in how we project social, environmental and economic needs on the space around us.
