Paths to Shared Automated Mobility for Public Transport: Strategies and Scenarios for Large-Scale Deployment in Europe 2030 and Beyond

Location: Room - Ruby

We propose to present the work of the CAMINO project (Interreg NWE) partners on automated, shared "robotaxis/shuttles" in public transport as envisaged by the PTA of Almere and De Lijn, PTO of Flanders. We aim to engage participants (e.g. public authorities, private transport operators) in a forward-looking workshop to assess their scenarios (evolution vs revolution), assess expectations for the AV market, and strategise plans for uptake within 5-10 years. The workshop focuses on identifying synergies during the preparatory phase, brainstorming innovative public-private partnerships, discuss adaptable tender formats and concession contracts for shared AVs in PT.
