How to Use Digital Tools to Better Manage the Use of Public Space?

Location: Room - Opal II

Dutch cities aim for cleaner, safer, and more inclusive mobility systems but face growing pressure on urban space. The collaboration DRO-DMI: 'Digital orchestration of the use of public space' explores digital tools to better manage the use of public space in cities. This session outlines our public-private partnership and mission to redefine public spaces. We’ll discuss our design-driven approach and the double diamond process for identifying opportunities. By examining real-world initiatives enhancing walkability, we'll show how digital tools drive urban innovation. Finally, we'll explore collaborative strategies and long-term goals to shape the future urban landscape.
