Serious Game: Finding the Optimal Mix
Location: Room - Diamond
We play the serious game 'The Optimal Mix' and share our findings of developing and playing it with a variety of professionals in the field. Playing helps policy makers, to discuss and reflect upon various societal goals and trade-offs to make when developing an 'optimal' mix of (emerging) modes and policies. The focus of the game is on passenger transport and policy, considering wider impacts of modes on cities wrt land use, equity, economy, accessibility and sustainability. Sofar, we successfully played the game in the Netherlands, India and the US (UN 2023) with over 300 satisfied people in total.
