X-min Cities, Pedestrian Accessibility, and Digital Tools

Location: Room - Emerald II

Ensuring citizens' access to their fundamental needs and promoting active modes of transport are key goals for contemporary urban planners. In this workshop, participants will have the chance to engage with two interactive, data-driven tools that map pedestrian accessibility and walkability in five Dutch cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag, and Eindhoven. The session will provide an opportunity to discuss the potential and limitations of these and related tools and how they can be adapted to meet the specific needs and preferences of urban planning professionals.
