Using gig worker data to learn about pandemic-era transportation choices.

Location: Oregon Convention Center - C-125/6

Millions of gig workers power rideshare, ecommerce, delivery, and micromobility operations. Their experience and insight, as manifested through their work data, is a critical and untapped resource for transportation planners, operators, regulators and consultants. This workshop will explore the innovative ways that transportation stakeholders are using gig worker-generated data to answer critical questions around transit integration, infrastructure investment, curb and congestion pricing, and electrification. We’ll highlight a study of how customers’ willingness to pay for rideshare and delivery services has changed over the course of the pandemic, and in response to the quality of public alternatives .

CE Credits for APA, AIA, and ASLA, should be available for many sessions and workshops. More information on this will be available shortly.
