Barb’s passion is designing professional learning experiences which model and promote first level promising teaching practices to orchestrate student-to-student discourse while providing all students with equitable access to the mathematics. Her latest teacher education book Mathematical Discourse: Let the Kids Talk! combines her research, classroom experience, and passion for learning from every student that has touched her life with their natural curiosity and joy while making sense of mathematics.
