Mobile Workshops are your opportunity to experience the host city on foot, bicycle, transit and/or kayak. Fees collected for Mobile Workshops will directly support local charities, non-profit organizations, and/or underwrite conference legacy projects. Mobile Workshops will be offered Sunday afternoon (September 16), Monday and Tuesday mornings (September 17 and 18) and Wednesday (September 19).

For Monday and Tuesday mornings we are offering longer breakout sessions for those who are not participating in Mobile Workshops. Each day we will have four three hour breakout sessions from which to choose. There is no additional fee to participate in these Super Sessions.

Hotel Reservations

A limited number of rooms at a special conference rate are available at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, 500 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA. The rate is $179 USD for a single/double + applicable taxes. The hotel is accessible by public transportation and is located in a walkable and bicycle friendly area. Rooms may be reserved online or by calling the hotel by/before August 25, 2018.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Mobile Workshop registration fees will not be refunded. The conference registration fee is refundable less a $100 USD cancellation fee if the conference registration center is notified in writing of the cancellation by August 16, 2018. (An email sent to is acceptable notification, or fax to 541-346-3545, or mail to the Registration Office at Walk/Bike/Places Registration, 1277 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1277.)

No refund of payment is possible if notice is received after August 16, 2018. No refunds will be made in the event of a no-show. In the event of cancellation or over-subscription to the conference, Project for Public Spaces' may retain a portion of the registration fee to cover damages it has incurred.
