Safe Routes to School Coordinator
Robert works in the Transportation and Mobility Planning Division at the Virginia Department of Transportation where he serves as the statewide Safe Routes to School Program Coordinator, a position he has held for eight years. Robert also manages VDOT's Arterial Preservation Program, which seeks to preserve roadway capacity through the use of multi-modal and innovative solutions. Prior to joining VDOT, Robert worked at the Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers University as a research coordinator. There Robert supported the New Jersey Department of Transportation through bicycle and pedestrian research and technical assistance. Robert earned a Master of Urban Planning degree from New York University and a bachelor of arts degree in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech.
