Andy Ross, Associate Planner, Community Development Department City of Livermore: Andy is an enthusiastic and energetic planning professional with 10 years of urban and rural planning experience. As a project manager for a local land trust he supervised a dynamic team responsible for developing and implementing and natural resources protection and regional trail connectivity. At the City of San Francisco, he worked in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional context to implement land use changes in a high density, open space deficient, culturally and economically diverse community resulting in a new neighborhood park. Recently with the City of Livermore, as co-project manager, he collaborated with various stakeholders through the public involvement process in the development of a comprehensive smart growth initiative aimed at, increasing pedestrian and bicycle activity, reducing auto dependence, and providing a strong sense of place resulting in the development of Active Transportation Plan.
