Louisiana Public Health Institute
Sandra Veronica Serna is the Associate Director of the Healthy Communities Portfolio at Louisiana Public Health Institute, where she oversees projects with an emphasis on data translation and utilization for multi-sector community improvement planning and collaboration. Prior to joining LPHI, Sandra was part of the Impact, Strategy, and Innovation team at United Way Worldwide, where she coached United Ways on using the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps resources and other data to inform their community impact strategies and investments. Sandra’s introduction to public health began as a prenatal health and HIV prevention educator in some of the most underserved neighborhoods in Austin, Texas and Washington, DC.
