Stantec's Urban Places
Craig Lewis, is a Principal with Stantec, an international design consulting firm, and is located in their Charlotte office. At Stantec, he is a national Urban Places leader, where he helps public, private, non-profit and institutional clients realize the full range of benefits that flow from fully urban, walkable downtowns, neighborhoods, and suburban centers. For more than twenty years, he has been combining time-tested urban design and community building principles with objective data grounded in the marketplace to help communities across North America chart a path to greater livability, equity, and sustainability. He is widely regarded for his expertise in urban design, placemaking, urban mobility, and the autonomous revolution. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, is a Fellow with the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP), a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, and is an accredited member of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A). He has been recognized as a member of the 2010 Class of the Charlotte Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, received the 2013 Community Sustainability Award from Sustain Charlotte, and is a signatory on the Charter of the New Urbanism.
