John Grottenberg is a policy planner in the Downtown Division of Planning, Urban Design & Sustainability at the City of Vancouver. He is a graduate of the School of Urban & Regional Planning at Queen's University. Starting at the City in 2008, John has worked on a variety of high-profile transportation, planning and public space projects including the first downtown separated bike lanes, Transportation 2040, the West End Plan, and the creation of Jim Deva Plaza in Vancouver's Davie Village. In his current role he oversees implementation of the West End Plan and policy planning in the downtown, and is also contributing to the Places for People: Downtown public space planning initiative.
