Leigh Ann Von Hagen, ACIP/PP, is a senior researcher and adjunct faculty with the Voorhees Transportation Center and the Planning Healthy Communities Initiative at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. Ms. Von Hagen has over eighteen years of experience in transportation and land use planning, specializing in creating healthy, active communities for all ages and abilities through policy, design, research, training, and community engagement. She is currently a manager for the NJ Department of Transportation’s Safe Routes Resource Center (saferoutesnj.org) and the statewide School Crossing Guard Training program (njcrossingguards.org.) As a veteran planner, she is a leader in creating multi-disciplined approaches to environmental and policy change through community-based initiatives. In addition, she and teaches classes on bicycle and pedestrian planning, conducts training on Health Impact Assessment, and facilitates health in all polices discussions and research (phci.rutgers.edu.)
