WalkNYC Wayfinding Program Deputy Director

Jennifer Harris-Hernandez has served at the New York City Department of Transportation for nine years working on several projects including the launch of bike share, piloting the first bike corals in New York City, and the initiation of the agency’s first wayfinding program for pedestrians. In her current role as Deputy Director of the WalkNYC Wayfinding Program she manages planning and installation of pedestrian, bicycle and transit wayfinding signage citywide. Prior to joining NYCDOT Jennifer worked as a community organizer in New York City and San Francisco. Jennifer holds a Masters of Urban Planning from Hunter College and a Bachelors of Arts from the Gallatin School at New York University.
