Saima Musharrat is an urban planner and designer who takes interest in almost all aspects of urban development. She completed her Master of Urban Planning degree from Texas A&M University with certificates in Sustainable Urbanism and Multimodal Transportation Planning. Her previous studies include a Bachelor of Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, and a Master of Science in Human Settlements degree from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Her diverse educational background in different parts of Southeast Asia, Europe and the Unites States has exposed her to multidimensional urban projects in various collaborative settings. Her academic and professional work to date has often focused on community revitalization, urban regeneration, bicycle and pedestrian planning, campus planning, green infrastructure, water urbanism and public engagement process. Always keeping sustainability and equity in mind, Saima strives to find the balance between people and nature, especially in the underserved communities. In future, she hopes to create vibrant and memorable spaces for people. Saima loves traveling around the world and exploring new cultures the most.
