Bio

Colette has called Eugene, Oregon home for the last thirteen years. After graduating from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Recreation Administration and a minor in Business she was the proverbial outdoor bum, skiing in the winter and raft guiding in the summer. For the last decade she has dedicated her career to the City of Eugene Library, Recreation, and Cultural Services Division where she is now the Community Programs Manager. She oversees the programs and activations for the downtown placemaking projects as well as the EUGfun event series that provides opportunities for community members to connect, create, and be entertained throughout our beautiful city. This series offers over 130+ free events with over 30 partner organizations and serves 40,000+ people annually. She also oversees the Public Art Program which encompasses % for art projects as well as the 20x21 International Mural Project and the local mural initiative, Urban Canvas. In her free time she can be found dancing and performing with a variety of West African, Salsa, and Bachata groups in town. She also volunteers as a board member and treasurer for the Oregon Support Living Program and the Oregon Country Fair’s Xavanadu Dance and Movement Program.
