Mr. Timothy Green

Master of Urban Planning

University of Washington

Bio

Timothy is a San Francisco native and recent graduate of the University of Washington’s Master of Urban Planning program with a specialization in Infrastructure and Transportation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Anthropology from Tulane University. Timothy discovered his passion for urban planning during his time studying in post-Katrina New Orleans. The dynamic history of the city, including its people, culture, and environment continue to provide Timothy with inspiration and a desire to create a more equitable and resilient society. Timothy is particularly interested in bicycle and storm water infrastructure and how their planning can impact local communities, which he explored while on exchange at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. In this regard, the title of his Master thesis is “A holistic approach to right-of-way design: Integrating flood management and transportation planning in New Orleans.” Outside of the conference, you’ll find Timothy exploring New Orleans’ diverse neighborhoods on his bicycle or riding the streetcar headed to listen to live jazz.
