Attending the Workshops

The UO Sustainability Leadership Program offers professional development workshops on sustainability practices. Each seminar is designed to give practitioners a theoretical foundation and practical tools to move an organization toward sustainable development.

You will be provided with the capacity to effectively position your organization as a leader in your field, one that anticipates and adapts to future challenges.

While attendance varies depending on the workshop topic, the numbers are usually under thirty, providing excellent learning and networking opportunities.

  • The most common workshop format is the one-day session on Thursdays or Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., held once or twice a month from September through June.
  • Workshops include theoretical and practical elements: presentations of highly experienced instructors and guest speakers from a variety of industries; individual and group exercises; discussions and other activities.
  • At each workshop participants receive workshop packets containing course materials, session participant networking list, presenter bio, evaluation form, and other materials.
  • Attendees are welcome to bring informational flyers about their companies to share with other attendees.
