Conference and Meeting Room Rental

The University of Oregon Continuing Education facility has an outstanding location in the heart of downtown Eugene, OR, in the Baker Downtown Center. Located at the corner of 10th Avenue and High Street (the former Register-Guard building), the "BDC" is steps away from many restaurants, hotels, transportation hubs and centers of government. The main UO campus is less than a mile to the east.

The conference and meeting spaces provide superior flexibility, accessibility, presentational accoutrements and comfort. Facility rental is open to the public. Activities accommodated by Continuing Education facilities must be consistent with the interests of the University of Oregon. Facilities can be leased from as little as two hours to a full week, subject to availability. A maximum charge of five hours constitutes a full day's rental for events ending by 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend prices will include additional charges for staffing.

Facility Descriptions

Four fully accessible rooms are available at the Baker Downtown Center through Continuing Education. The large hall, approximately 80 x 36 feet, is divisible into three similarly sized rooms: Alaska, Mexico and Canada. The full space can seat 130 persons theater-style, or sixty-four at tables for two (5 feet x 18 inches). Singly or in room combinations, seating arrangements can be tailored to meet just about any plan.

The BDC also offers The Belize, a private conference room (not shown). An excellent space for staff meetings and small discussion groups, this room also features a POLYCOM teleconferencing system. A round conference table seats up to twelve persons. All of the rooms have internet access. (See floor plans and sample set-up options.)
