We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch. Lifelong Learning ProgramsOsher Lifelong Learning InstituteThe Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is designed to meet the educational interests of mature adults in the communities of Portland, Eugene/Springfield and Central Oregon. Member-led committees develop program site policies and educational activities. Curriculum covers topics in the humanities and sciences, current events, performing and fine arts, and active outdoor pursuits. Program committees at each site plan courses, lectures, learning groups, travel and activities; instruction is offered by current and retired UO faculty, independent scholars, community experts and peer-leaders. An annual fee allows members to participate in a variety of events and classes; there are no tests, grades or formal admission requirements. Additionally, a new program site of the UO Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will be coming soon to the Portland area. Information will be posted online in late summer of 2007. ElderhostelElderhostel Inc. is an international nonprofit organization that provides high quality, short-term learning opportunities for people fifty-five and older, offering in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning experiences.
