University of Oregon in Portland

The University of Oregon in Portland serves the educational, professional development, and personal enrichment needs in the local community. The White Stag Block, located at 70 NW Couch Street in the Skidmore-Old Town Historic District, is home to the UO Duck Shop, several program offices, and classrooms.

Driving and Light Rail Directions

• From I-5 going North, take the I-405 exit, EXIT 299B, on the left toward City Center/US-26 West/Beaverton. Take EXIT 1A on the left toward Naito Parkway and the Japanese-American Historical Plaza. Stay straight to go onto SW Harbor Drive. Turn right onto SW Naito Parkway. Turn left onto NW Couch Street.
• From I-5 going South, take the OR-99E exit, EXIT 300B, toward OMSI/US-26 East/Oregon City. Take the ramp toward Morrison St. and City Center. Make a slight right onto the Morrison Bridge, and take the Front Avenue ramp toward I-5 South/Salem. Turn left onto SW Naito Parkway. Turn left onto NW Couch Street.
• MAX (both Eastbound and Westbound): Exit MAX at Old Town/Chinatown (stop ID 8378), located at the intersection of NW 1st and Davis or at Skidmore Fountain (stop ID 8379), intersection of NW 1st and Couch. These are the first two stops on the west side of the Willamette River. Visit the Trimet website for a map of MAX system.

TriMet Bus Service

TriMet buses serve Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties. Many bus lines connect with MAX Light Rail, and 16 lines provide frequent service (every 15 minutes).

  • $1.25/hour (four hours or less)
  • More than four hours $3.00/hour up to the daily maximum of $6 (daily maximum varies depending on location).

• City Center Parking
  • $2 for each half hour, with a daily maximum of $8.25.
  • Nearest location: 130 SW Stark St. (entrance on Stark St. between SW 1st and SW 2nd).
• On Street Parking
  • $1.25 per hour. You do not have to pay for on street parking after 7:00 p.m. Meters in the area take debit and credit cards as well as coins. They do not accept bills.
