Inclement Weather Information

General procedures are listed below for each location. Cancellations or changes due to weather will be posted on this site. Additionally, in the event of a cancellation, the UO Continuing Education Registration staff will notify all registrants via e-mail (or by phone for those without e-mail contact information). If you are unable to attend a workshop or class due to weather, please inform the registration office at (800) 824-2714, (541) 346-4231, or ctrinfo@uoregon.edu.

Portland

As a matter of practicality, weather that warrants closure of Portland State University typically is an indication of the University of Oregon in Portland closing. However, individual programs in the University of Oregon in Portland may still meet. Cancellations will be noted here for changes to Continuing Education programs scheduled for Portland.

Eugene/Springfield

Because it is a residential campus with 24/7 operations, the University of Oregon historically has not closed during inclement weather. However, UO Continuing Education programs may be cancelled even if the main campus is not officially closed. Cancellations will be noted here for changes to Continuing Education programs scheduled for Eugene/Springfield.

Bend

The UO/Chandler Lab, as a partner of OSU-Cascades, has an agreement to follow COCC policy regarding closure due to inclement weather. Whenever COCC is closed and/or has cancelled classes, OLLI events are also cancelled. Cancellations will be noted here for changes to OLLI programs scheduled for Central Oregon.
