TITLE: Graphic/Web Designer, UO Continuing Education
CLASSIFICATION: Program Assistant, .80 FTE (short-term/limited duration)
SALARY: Competitive salary based on experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum three years professional experience
  • BA required, BFA or advance work preferred
  • Expertise with Pagemaker, Word, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Website experience (HTML design, creation, repurposing, updating)
  • Excellent creative and conceptual abilities as well as knowledge of photography and layout, graphic design, mechanical art and printing production
  • Self starter able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work well in a deadline-oriented environment
  • A team player with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving skills

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires an individual who has strong print medium experience and a willingness to acquire and develop web management skills including updating, design and creation.

The Graphic/Web Designer will manage all aspects of a given project from concept through completion, including planning, supervising print production, proofing, selecting vendors, and ensuring the job quality and its timely completion.

The Graphic/Web Designer will produce various collateral print materials using the UO style standards in support of [internal and external] communication needs of Continuing Education programs. This includes but is not limited to newsletters, brochures, ads, and logos and the ability to repurpose materials across mediums.
