Certificate of Completion

Our Certificate of Completion is a professional development credential, indicating to employers and co-workers that you have attended workshops and participated in on-site activities to further your knowledge and expertise in the many aspects of managing community festivals and special events. It is awarded to participants who complete all of the requirements in the program's three areas of

  1. Theoretical overview (usually the two-day Foundations workshop)
  2. Applied activities
  3. Attendance at professional development workshops

Through the process of earning the UO Festival & Event Management Certificate of Completion you will also develop many professional connections through extensive networking opportunities and add to your resume through practicum and project work done for the applied requirement.

Other credentials in related fields are also available to you, such as the Certified Festival & Event Executive (CFEE) status with the International Festival and Events Association, and the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with Convention Industry Council.
