The workshops are approved for Continuing Education Units (CEU) requirements with the Oregon Recreation and Parks Association and have satisfied this requirement with other professional membership associations as well.

This flexible program is designed to meet multiple professional development needs. You can:

  • Take occasional workshops to learn about a specific topic.
  • Pursue a Certificate of Completion as a professional credential.
  • Meet professional organization requirements for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) documentation.

“Events produce important social and cultural benefits. This fact is generally accepted within the events industry and by scholars who study its relevance to society today. Studies show that positive economic impact is also a factor from events that are well planned and well marketed. The Festival & Event Management Workshops and Certificate Program provides a flexible, affordable means to acquiring the skills necessary for producing successful events that are able to generate social and economic benefits.”
