FAQ's About Registration and Cancellation

How do I register for a workshop?

Registration is available: online, phone, fax, or mail. Workshops fill up quickly so advance registration is recommended to secure a spot. If space is available, you may also register on-site. Please call to confirm.

What payment methods do you accept for a workshop?

UO Continuing Education will accept Visa, Mastercard, company purchase order, or check (but your space is not confirmed until the check is received). Make checks payable to University of Oregon. If you have payment questions or need to make special payment arrangements, please call the registration office at (800) 824-2714 or e-mail us at ctrinfo@uoregon.edu.

What is the cancellation or drop policy regarding workshops?

In the event you decide not to take a course for which you registered, you must notify the Continuing Education registration office at least three business days before the course begins in order to credit your payment towards another course or to receive a refund. Should you fail to do so, you will be responsible for payment of the tuition and fees.

Courses will run only with sufficient enrollment. The registration office will notify you two business days prior to the course if a course is canceled.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?

If you register online, you should receive an automatic e-mail confirmation. If you register by phone, fax or mail, and provide an e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. If you need a printed confirmation mailed or faxed, please let the registration specialist know

How do I register for the "applied" portion to do my Practicum/Special Problems work?

Details are given with the Applied Learning information.

What is a CEU? Do I need it?

Many professional membership organizations require their members to participate in learning activities for maintaining good standing within the organization. It keeps you current in your profession! These learning experiences are often documented in the form of Continuing Education Units, or CEUs. Because professional organizations use differing systems of calculating CEUs, it is our practice at the UO Department of Continuing Education to document a learning experience by the "contact hours," or actual time spent engaged in the educational activity. At the end of each workshop you will receive a certificate which includes your name, the title of the workshop, and the number of contact hours. This certificate is verification of your participation.

How do I get a listing of all the workshops I have attended?

Contact Continuing Education's registration coordinator at ctrinfo@uoregon.edu.

How do I get an official transcript for the credit courses I completed?

You can request copies of your transcript online through the Registrar's website.
