![]() MEM Program ClosesAfter more than ten years of helping people make a difference in their community festivals and special events, the difficult decision was made in June 2009 to not continue the Meeting/Festival & Event Management Certificate program. Some content associated with this program is infused into the Sustainability Leadership Certificate Program for the 2009-2010 program year, and work completed in Sustainability Leadership can contribute towards a MEM/F&E Certificate. Certificate of CompletionAt this time we are working only with participants who are in-progress and are planning to complete the MEM certificate. No new applications are being accepted. Our Certificate of Completion is a professional development credential, indicating to employers and co-workers that you have attended workshops, covering a breadth of topics, to further your knowledge and expertise in the many aspects of managing business meetings, community festivals, and special events. It is awarded to participants who participate in 65 contact hours of workshops and roundtables. RequirementsTo obtain the Certificate of Completion, you must participate in a total of 65 hours of workshops and roundtables. For example, a full-day workshop 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. has a one-hour lunch break and therefore counts as 6.5 contact hours. Special Arrangements
