Attending the WorkshopsDuring the school year our workshops are usually offered as one-day (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) events. In the summer we also offer day and a half and two-day workshops. The workshops emphasize practical classroom applications offered by presenters who have worked extensively in the classroom. Our workshops blend lecture and experiential activities; participants can leave the workshops ready to implement new strategies in their classrooms. Participants receive packets that reinforce and expand upon the workshop content, provide references for further reading and reproducible classroom materials. Undergraduate and Graduate Credit CoursesA credit course will require a combination of elements equaling a thirty hour contribution for one college credit. A large portion of the graduate or undergraduate course requirements occurs outside the classroom or workshop experience. These elements may include online correspondence with the instructor or other participants, supplemental reading of course text and/or recommended articles, and a significant response paper. Additional projects, requiring practical application of workshop content, are often required.
Non-Credit WorkshopsThese workshops offer the same activites and quality experience as the credit courses, but operate as stand-alone one or two-day events. There are no additional required assignments. A certificate documenting hours of instruction for PDUs will be issued after the workshop. More Information: |
