FAQ's About the Workshops

When are the workshops available?

Workshops are scheduled monthly throughout most of the school year and during the third and fourth week of June. You can view the current schedule online; call (541) 346-4231 or (800) 824-2714 or e-mail ctrinfo@uoregon.edu and we will send you a copy of the brochure.

Are the workshops available at any other times (weekend, evenings, fall term)?

Currently, workshops are offered on weekdays during daytime hours. Whenever possible we try to schedule them on in-service days. We value your input if you have other suggestions on days and times. Please call the Registration office at (800) 824-2714 with your suggestions or e-mail ctrinfo@uoregon.edu the program coordinator.

Do I need to bring anything to the workshop?

You are welcome to bring notepaper and pen to take notes; we will provide instructional materials associated with the workshop. If other materials (art supplies, etc.) are needed, you will be informed of the requirement in your registration confirmation.

What grade level are these workshops geared toward?

We try to schedule workshops tailored to the needs of elementary and secondary educators. The content of many workshops is designed for specific grade levels. This information is provided in the Current Courses and Workshops.

Do I have to be a teacher to attend the workshop?

The workshops are designed to meet the needs of classroom teachers, educational assistants, certified staff and administrators. However, they are open to anyone interested in attending.

Is lunch provided?

Complimentary snacks and beverages are provided for morning and afternoon breaks, but lunch is on your own.

Is there a lunch break? Are there places to eat near the workshop site?

An hour lunch break is usually scheduled from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Maps of the surrounding area and restaurant suggestions are available on-site.
