Preauthorization

What courses need preauthorization? How can I get preauthorized?

Typically, Arts and Administration (AAD), Astronomy (ASTR), Environmental Science (ENVS), Geology (GEOL), and Physics (PHYS) Distance Education courses require preauthorization before being able to register for the course. This is listed as "Instructor Approval" on DuckWeb. Distance Education, rather than the instructor, processes these requests.

After submitting the online preauthorization form, please allow for one to two business days to process your request. You will receive an e-mail when the process is complete. If you have any questions or wish to check on the status of your preauthorization request, please contact Distance Education at disted@uoregon.edu.
