Exams and ProctoringCoursesSome online exams require that students take in-person exams at a prearranged testing location. The following courses currently require an exam proctor:
Arts and Administration (AAD) courses do not have exams. These courses rely heavily on participation through discussion and assignments. Applied Information Management (AIM), Astronomy (ASTR), and Physics (PHYS) either do not have exams, or the exams are handled entirely by the instructor through online delivery. You should review your course syllabus or check with the instructor for further details. SSIL and Testing LocationsThe Social Science Instructional Labs (SSIL) administers exam proctoring for EC, GEOG, GEOL, LING, and PS courses. You will need to establish a test taker ID and sign up for the exams. This can be done online at http://distanceeducation.uoregon.edu. For more information, contact SSIL at:

LocationsExam proctoring can be set up through the Social Science Instructional Labs (SSIL) on the Eugene campus. SSIL administers exams that need to be taken in: EugeneYour exams will be proctored at: Social Science Instructional Lab (SSIL) You must sign up in advance to schedule an exam time. Test dates and times will be made available two weeks prior to the exam deadline. PortlandExams will be administered at the UO Portland Center located downtown at the corner of SW 2nd and Yamhill. The street address is: 722 SW 2nd Avenue Winter 2007 testing dates for the Portland Center are currently posted on SSIL's exam site: http://distanceeducation.uoregon.edu There are limited exam stations available at the UO Portland Center. Contact SSIL as soon as possible to schedule your exam times. Please be sure to complete a Request for a Remote Proctor form if you plan to take exams at the Portland Center. Remote Proctor Site (out of Eugene and Portland areas)Remote proctor sites must be arranged through SSIL. They will facilitate the proctoring and assist with finding a remote location.
