PreauthorizationRead the following information and complete the online preauthorization form. Allow two business days to receive a confirmation e-mail from Distance Education staff at disted AttendanceOnline courses begin and end with the regular UO term schedule. Courses will begin the first day of class and conclude during week ten. These courses are not self-paced and cannot be completed through credit-by-examination. CommunicationOnline course communication relies primarily on e-mail. Instructors and Distance Education Program staff will be accessible by e-mail daily. Allow for 24-hour response time, Monday-Friday. Instructors will notify the class if there are online "office hours" or best times to be reached. Instructors and DE staff work together to provide the best instruction and assistance possible. Contact the following depending on your question:
Self-support FeeSome online courses have a Self-support fee that replaces regular tuition for that course. This is not an additional fee on top of tuition costs. Self-support fees are fixed amounts regardless of residency status, course load, other tuition assessments, major, etc. For more information, contact the Registrar’s Office. Preauthorization Process
