Registration

  • Are you an admitted UO student or an active Community Education Program (CEP) student?
You can register using DuckWeb, the University of Oregon's online registration and information system. Please check the online Schedule of Classes or the DE listing of courses for Course Reference Numbers (CRNs), tuition, and course information.
  • Are you a former UO student?
If you have ever been admitted to a degree program at the University of Oregon, but have not yet completed your studies, you need to fill out a reenrollment form. Contact the Office of Academic Advising at (541) 346-3211 for assistance, or obtain the Reenrollment Application form online. You may need to contact the Office of Admissions or the Graduate School regarding your status.
  • Are you new to the UO or a non-admitted student?
Non-admitted students register through the Community Education Program (CEP). CEP students are part-time, non-matriculating, and are limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours per term. CEP students are subject to the same deadlines and refund policies as admitted students. If you are interested in becoming a CEP student and registering for a class, you should complete the steps outlined in the CEP process flow chart.

If you want to apply for admission, or are already admitted and need to renew your active status, contact the Office of Admissions.

  • CEP Information
For complete information on CEP status or how to obtain a Personal Access Code, please visit the CEP website or call the Community Education Program office at (541) 346-5614.
  • The UO Process
This flow chart will assist you in navigating the process of registering for a UO Distance Education course. Click on the links within the boxes to navigate the process.

Please Note: Some courses require preauthorization before registering.

Preauthorization

AAD, ASTR, GEOL and PHYS Distance Education courses require preauthorization before you can register for the course. This is listed as "Instructor Approval" on DuckWeb. The office of Distance Education, rather than the instructor, processes these requests. Allow two business days to receive a notification e-mail that your request is being processed. Please read the preauthorization instructions, which include the link to the preauthorization form.
