Online Courses

University of Oregon Distance Education classes run on the same term schedule as regular, on-campus courses, and are subject to the same rules and deadlines. Distance Education courses provide the same credit and appear on a transcript like any other UO class.

• Schedule and Description
  Available online courses are outlined in the Distance Education Course Schedule.
• Preauthorization
  Some DE courses require preauthorization. If a class requires preauthorization, it will be noted in its Course Description as well as in the detailed course listing on the UO Schedule of Classes. You will not be able to register for the class until you have gone through the preauthorization process.
• Exam Proctoring
  Select online classes require that you take in-person proctored exams over the term. Courses with proctored exams note this information in the Course Description.
