Intel Schools of Distinction Awards

Application Login

The 2010 Intel Schools of Distinction Award application deadline is February 17, 2010, 5pm PST.

The following are tips and suggestions from past applicants for developing a successful application:

  1. Print the "pdf" copy of the application to understand all of the data and narrative requirements. Application must be completed and submitted online.
  2. Gather a team of colleagues who have the information and knowledge to respond to the wide range of application questions.
  3. Allow yourself adequate time to complete the application. Last year the average length of time to compile information and complete an application ranged from 4-10 hours with winning applicants spending 8-10 hours.
  4. Some of the information requested will be automatically completed by accessing the NCES database. It is recommended that you collect this information from your records so that you can confirm the accuracy of the data and provide any needed updates.
  5. The latter portion of the application requires narrative responses. It is suggested that you compose your responses in a word processor and then cut and paste the responses into the appropriate application location.
  6. Good luck! We look forward to reading about your school.
