Are you curious about how to run a campaign on your campus or in your community? What the heck is a "campaign" anyway? Come on down to this workshop if you're interested in starting, joining, or just learning about campaigns run by young people that are building solutions to climate change and sustainability at large.

This hands-on workshop is designed for students interested in translating new ideas into action. We will take a hypothetical yet typical sustainability idea and show students how to develop a clear action plan to guide the implementation process. Defining the problem, setting measurable objectives, and creating a realistic written work plan will be covered. Students will emerge with basic tools and concepts that will improve their effectiveness as leaders.

When you study great teams one thing that stands out is that they have a sense of purpose that is empowering to all members. Leading with vision is a critical aspect of leadership that will be explored in this workshop. We will focus on how to create and articulate a powerful vision, garner support for the vision, and maintain the vision in times of adversity.

| This presentation will introduce basic concepts in fundraising, including the development of compelling fundraising proposals, how to identify prospects for your fundraising efforts, and how to ask for money. We will discuss fundraising from individuals, from businesses and corporations, and from foundations. |
