General Information
PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Northwest Council for Computer Education is a professional organization of Pacific Northwest educators interested in supporting the use of computers in education. Three thousand annual NCCE Conference participants will join colleagues and exhibitors for a stimulating exchange of ideas, information, and technical expertise. Program strands include administration, business/mathematics, computer science, government/corporate programs, hardware technology, information access, multimedia, science, special education, written communications, and much more. AN INVITATION TO EXHIBIT Exhibits are an integral part of the NCCE 2006 program. Decision-making educators and school administrators will be seeking information on the latest hardware, software, technical publications, and related equipment for application in the academic environment. We cordially invite your company to exhibit at NCCE 2006—and establish your foothold in this rapidly expanding educational computer market. EXHIBITOR PRESENTATIONS A limited number of sessions will be available to exhibitors for presentations to NCCE 2006 attendees, highlighting current research and product activities. Further information on applying will be sent to all contracted companies by summer, 2005. EXHIBIT HOURS The NCCE 2006 Exhibits will be held February 8–10 at the Oregon Convention Center. Exhibit hours have been scheduled to provide maximum interaction between conference attendees and exhibitor personnel:
Should NCCE 2006 Management find it necessary to alter exhibit hours in the best interest of the conference, Exhibitors will receive as much advance notice as possible. INSTALLATION, OPENING AND DISMANTLING Display space will be available for set-up in the Oregon Convention Center between Noon and 6 pm on Tuesday, February 7, and 8 am–2 pm on Wednesday, February 8. The Exhibits will officially open at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 8, and all exhibits shall remain in place until 3:15 pm on Friday, February 10. Return of crates and packing cases and dismantling of exhibits will commence on Friday, February 10. EXHIBITOR MANUAL All contracted Exhibitors will receive an Exhibitor Manual approximately 45 days prior to the Exhibit. This manual will include detailed information on Exhibitor activities, shipping, storage, and miscellaneous items pertaining to Exhibitor logistics, as well as the necessary forms and applications relating to decorations. ADDITIONAL SERVICES The price of booth rental does not include storage, placement, shipment, or reshipment of exhibit materials, special lighting, booth furnishings, tables, chairs, carpets, electrical supplies, individual booth cleaning, or any other special services ordered by the Exhibitor. EXHIBITOR PRIVILEGES NCCE 2006 booth rental includes the following:
Display space will be based on a cost of $10.95 per square foot. Act now and save $200 per 10' x 10' booth. Applications and deposits received prior to September 30, 2005 will be charged only $8.95 per square foot. To reserve space, complete and mail the attached Application/Contract and a minimum 50% deposit of total space rental to: NCCE 2006 Exhibits, 1277 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1277; or telephone immediately for tentative reservations and booth selection, 541.346.3537. A deposit of 50% of the total charge for space reserved and a completed application form will be required to hold space after September 30, 2005. EXHIBITOR HOTEL AND PERSONNEL REGISTRATION A block of rooms will be set aside for Exhibitors and attendees. Exhibitors will receive advance notice and housing forms. Additionally, NCCE 2006 will post Exhibitor Personnel Registration Forms for all exhibiting organizations (exhibitors are permitted five [5] badges per 10' x 10' booth occupied). Exhibitors are encouraged to complete these forms online. Badges will be available on-site at the Exhibitor Registration Desk. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of any portion of the Exhibit Contract by the exhibitor will be accepted only at the discretion of the NCCE 2006 Exhibit Management and, in all cases, is subject to the following refund policies:
