These cozy, comfy gathering zones are for like-minded attendees to connect on a variety of issues and topics. If you have a great tip, resource, or strategy to share, visit the schedulers located in each lounge and sign-up to give a quick presentation. Interactive whiteboards from Promethean are provided for your convenience! You can also just hang out, recharge your various devices, and watch a simulcast or two.
NETS Lounge
Near Blue Bear in Lobby F
Drop by to learn more about ISTE's NETS (National Educational Technology Standards), and participate in the NETS by the Numbers Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win a new Flip Camera. Scavenger hunt sessions take place from 9 am-12 pm and 1-4 pm on Monday and Tuesday only. Visit the lounge for more details.
Bloggers' Café
In the main concourse overlooking the Korbel Ballroom
A casual gathering place for blogging, tweeting, and face-to-face conversations, the Bloggers' Café is the place to go to make connections and expand your personal learning network! It is also the home of ISTE Unplugged, a venue set aside during the conference where anyone can sign up to present. Hosted by Classroom 2.0. Advocacy Lounge
Near ISTE Central in Lobby D
The Advocacy Lounge is home to the Ed Tech Action Network (ETAN) booth. Drop by and make your voice heard. Send an email or video letter to Congress on the importance of ed tech funding. Home of the ISTE Connects blogspot and tons of learning! ISTE staff and fellow attendees will lead group tutorials on tools ranging from Facebook, Twitter, and Nings, to YouTube, UStream, and Flickr. Impromptu sessions are encouraged, so drop in on your own or bring a group to learn more about this year's hottest tools and gadgets. You can also meet the ISTE Connects Community Manager!
